Additional Benefits

Infoblox recognizes that you need time off from work to relax, recharge, and take care of your personal wellbeing. We offer time off to help you thrive at work, and at home.

These additional benefits include Paid Time Off (PTO), employee perks, travel assistance, and more. Infoblox is invested in providing you with the tools and resources to foster your total wellness, and these benefits are our way of saying thank you for all the great work you do.

Paid Time Off

Infoblox encourages employees to take vacations for the necessary rest and relaxation to be your best. Infoblox offers different vacation policies for corresponding to roles in order to make sure every individual is benefiting from paid vacation. Depending on an employee’s role, vacation time is subject to either Discretionary Paid Time Off (Discretionary PTO) or the Accrued Paid Time Off (Accrued PTO). Under either policy, employees are expected to coordinate vacation schedules with their manager.

Discretionary PTO Policy – Exempt Employees

If an employee is classified as exempt, they are eligible to participate in the Company’s Discretionary PTO. Under this policy, employees are not limited to a specific number of vacation days, nor do they accrue paid vacation. Instead, exempt employees are free to schedule paid vacation time at their discretion, subject to their work obligations, the Company’s operational needs, and other vacation requests. This is a “nonaccrual vacation policy.” All requests for PTO under this policy require approval in advance by the employee’s supervisor. Employees should still request time off through the online. internal time-off tracking system used at Infoblox.

PTO under this policy is limited to vacation and may not be used for other purposes, such as illness or other personal issues. Infoblox has other time-off policies, such as paid sick time or leaves of absence, that may apply in those circumstances. Employees should coordinate with their supervisor and Human Resources if they need extended time away from work for a non-vacation purpose.

Accrued PTO Policy – Non-Exempt Employees

If an employee is classified as a nonexempt, they are eligible to participate in the Company’s Accrued PTO. This policy applies to all full-time and part-time nonexempt employees. The amount of paid vacation employees receive each year increases with the length of their employment as shown in the following schedule:

  • Upon hiring, an employee will begin accruing 15 vacation days a year, prorated to the start date.
  • After 4 years of employment, an employee will accrue 20 vacation days each year.
  • Regular, part-time employees accrue vacation on a pro rata basis, meaning the rate accrued is proportional to the time of employment. Temporary employees do not accrue paid vacation.
  • Generally, paid vacation can only be used in minimum increments of one day or one half day; however, nonexempt employees are allowed to take vacation in one-hour increments. Requests will be reviewed based on a number of factors, including business needs and staffing requirements.
  • At the end of each calendar year, unused vacation time will carry over to the next calendar year. Employees can only accrue up to 1.5 times their annual accrual for a maximum of 240 hours, effective August 1, 2016.
  • Upon termination of employment, employees will receive a pay out amount for unused vacation time that has been earned through the last day of work.

Vacation Notice and “Borrowing”

Employees planning to take vacation leave must request approval from their manager in advance. Employees should provide reasonable notice, particularly when requesting a week or more of vacation leave. We realize that family emergencies may arise from time to time, and request that you pre-schedule all personal leave time when possible..

Employees may “borrow” up to 40 hours against their vacation accrual, resulting in a negative balance, with manager approval. If an employee has a deficit in his or her annual vacation hours bank at the time of resignation or termination, salary equal to the deficit may be deducted from the final paycheck.

Other Time Off

Leave of Absence

TRISTAR Risk Management Programs administer all domestic leave of absences (i.e. absences from work that exceed 5 work- days). To report your leave of absence, contact TRISTAR as soon as you are aware that your leave is more than five days.

TRISTAR is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and offers employees direct access to leave resources and information. You can easily report a leave and check its status through TRISTAR’s dedicated secure website, telephone, or iOS/Android App. Please see below for details.

Military Leave

Infoblox grants military leaves of absence in accordance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act of 1994 (USERRA). Unless precluded by military necessity, advance notice and proof of the military assignment must be provided. A military leave of absence is unpaid unless you choose to use your available vacation time. Benefits will not be continued on military leaves extending beyond 30 days. Information on continuation coverage will be sent to you. All military leaves will be handled in accordance with USERRA and other applicable state and federal laws.

Jury Duty

Regular full-time employees will receive full pay while serving up to two weeks of jury duty (less amounts received from other sources for the jury duty). If you are required to appear in court as a witness, you will receive regular pay for the time off, to a maximum of two weeks.

Notify your manager of your jury duty requirement as soon as possible. You may be requested to provide written verification from the court clerk of having served. If work time remains after any day of jury selection or jury duty, you will be expected to return to work for the remainder of your work schedule.

Infoblox will provide part-time and temporary employees time off for jury duty attendance but they are not eligible for compensation. However, in no case will the salary of an exempt employee be reduced for any week in which the employee works and also misses time to serve on jury duty.

Time Off for Voting

In the event that you do not have sufficient time outside of working hours to vote in an election, you may take time off to vote. The time off shall be taken at the beginning or end of your regular work schedule, whichever allows for more free time. You may take a maximum of two hours off to vote on the Election Day without loss of pay. Deductions will not be made from the salary of an exempt employee for time taken off for voting.

Religious & Ethnic Observances

Infoblox makes every effort to fairly accommodate employees’ religious and ethnic practices.

You must use accrued vacation time to participate in ethnic or religious observances that are not included in the published Infoblox holiday schedule.

School Activities

Under certain parental leave policies, employees may be eligible to attend or participate in school-related events for his or her child during working hours. The absence is subject to the following provisions:

  • Parents, guardians, or grandparents having custody of one or more children in kindergarten or grades 1 to 12 may take time off for a school activity.
  • Time off for school activity participation cannot exceed eight (8) hours in any calendar month, or a total of 40 hours each school year.
  • Employees must provide as much advance notice as possible to their supervisor. If both parents are employed by Infoblox, the first employee to request such leave will receive the time off. The other parent will receive the time off only if the leave is approved by thier manager.
  • Any employee who takes time off under this policy must use any existing vacation time for the absence.
  • If requested by Infoblox, the employees must provide their manager with documentation from the school that indicates that the employee participated in a school activity on the day of the absence.

Recreational Activities & Programs

Infoblox or its insurer will not be liable for payment of workers’ compensation benefits for any injury that arises out of an employee’s voluntary participation in any recreational, social, or athletic activity that is not part of the employee’s work-related duties, whether or not on Infoblox premises.
